Marlin "Butch" Fausnacht
September 21, 1946 - December 12, 2023 (Age 77)
Marlin J. "Butch" Fausnacht, 77, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, December 12, 2023. Born in Denver, PA, Butch was a son of the late Warren and Nancy (Ream) Fausnacht and the husband of 27 years to Geraldine (Hess) Fausnacht.
Butch was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy and served in Vietnam. A career long-distance truck driver, Butch retired from Lester R. Summers, Inc. His most memorable job was transporting one of the major components of the James Webb Telescope across the country.
He was a NASCAR fan, enjoyed fishing, and the Kansas City Chiefs. Butch was known for his love of cooking and especially his "yard bird" chicken recipe. He loved telling stories, his friends, family, and his country. He was a member of the AMVETS.
In addition to his wife, Butch is survived by two daughters, Jodi (Ken) Memery of Lebanon and Andrea "Andi" (Matthew) Hill of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Megan Memery, Lauren Memery, Kailin Kirchner, and Gabriel Hill. Butch was predeceased by two brothers, Thomas Fausnacht and George Fausnacht; and a sister, Barbara Tobias.
A memorial service with military honors will be held January 12th, at 3:00 pm at Good Sipler Funeral Center, 34 N. Reamstown Rd., Reamstown, PA with private interment with family at Memory Gardens immediately afterward. Friends and family are invited to join at 4:30 pm to toast Butch at the Ephrata AMVETS.
